xenon light flickering

Hi , new to forum. Just purchased 2007 se antara,and passenger side headlight seems to flicker like a strobe when driving. Has just passed mot today, a ny ideas. ?

Could be a few things. Either bulb ballast or igniter none of them are very cheap I'm afraid.

Sounds like the bulb is on it's way out, you might have a bulb that the filament hasn't quite parted thus bounces on and off when going down the road, had this on a dash light in a old golf it lasted months until it finally blew...

Replace the bulb and see if thier is any difference

Xenon bulbs don't have a filament they are filled with gas and Wilma do you know how much they are!!!!

A replacement bulb is probably £60-£80 each!!!

just checked halfords range from bosch xenon headlamp £16.99 buy one get one free to £35.00 that's a mix of Bosch and halfords and some are buy one get one free, I know they charge to fit but it would be Cheeper than vauxhall doing it

Didn't think the 2007 version came with HID xenons, just thought they came with normal H7 xenons which are about £15.00Edited by: Pondpaul

If they did come with the HID's then it could be the transformer on its way out, but I doubt it.

I had a similar thing happen to my Volvo XC70. When the dealer checked it out it turned out to be a broken engine mount. It seemed both the engine and the Xenon light unit shared the same mounting bracket. Took almost 3 full days to fix. Fortunately it was fixed under warranty.

Those are replacement bulbs to fit standard lights not Xenon bulbs to fit the Antara. As Paul pointed out the OP probably only has standard bulbs anyway.
