The one thing that jumps out at me is that GM/Opel/Vauxhall are in no rush to implement these new engines. I am sure that they must have been working on this for a while but I did read somewhere that Opel are wanting to take the building of the Antara and Mokka away from South Korea and build them in a plant in Germany.


I cannot be certain as I can't find the article, that 2016 was the year that they wanted to have the transfer in place which ties in with the introduction of the new engines and trains.

I have a 2012 Audi A4 turbo petrol, the car is in the same car tax bracket as some of the small engine corsas. GM does need to look at its engines, I joke to friends about how VAG can get low co2 figures, both for petrol and diesels. However modern technology does cost. My Audi was almost twice the price of a pre-regInsignia.
