I know a lot of you will be unhappy about this as a new front with wind and rain storms accross the British Isles but here in Galicia we have had a week of really hot weather. OK, it cannot be compared with the heat wave hitting California but I tested Spantara in the heat of the valleys and mountains of Pontavedra area the last two days.
Yesterday the car's thermometer was registering 39 degrees Celsius at times. (I had the same reading at home so it is likely to be true). Yet despite the heat and the altitude the car jogged on with no problems at all. The air conditioning worked well keeping the interior cool.

I am well pleased with the Antara's performancewhen the going gets hot. All I need now is some fun in the snow!

Cheers all - I am off for a cooling drink!

Hi Stephen

nice to know that somebody is getting decent weather.
Here in the UK we get a spell of half decent weather then back to the usual rubbish !!

Last year in France we hit 40 deg on a few days.
This is too hot. All we wanted to do was drink ......... then again .....thinking about it .....hot is good

My car last year was a Signum and that coped well with the heat too.

Good to know the Antara copes well with the heat!!! its not something we will have to worry about much over here.
Hey that's not true.

My car thermometer soared all the way up 19 degrees C at the weekend. You can't get much hotter than that.

It's beginning to cool off up here today. Thermometer fell below 20 for the first time in ages.
The heat has been hard for me to cope with. I'm not in the best of health, and this heat has made things worse. I haven't been driving much over the last couple of weeks, and sleeping has be very fitful. it's just been too hot and uncomfortable for me.

My little trip to the seaside yesterday with my video camera was a refreshing interlude, as it was a bit cooler down by the water.

Yip inch I understand what you are saying traveling down to Whitby and around was nice but hard going the pain in my left and mostly my right hit and lower back has been very painful say about 8 on the 1-10 scale but I do not like to show or say to hubby .or my daughter as she worry's.
I did not know whitby was so hilly it was a nightmare, but I enjoyed although in pain being away for a week, I am glad to be back home though.
Do you have a fan that you can put next to your bed? I do it helps with the heat , my hubby has put it in the living room for me as well.
As for driving I think hubby will be doing some for a while although the dog and my daughter hate him driving

Take care Inch and when you feel well enough keep the pics coming

Yes, I have a fan in the bedroom and another in the living room. They do help, but it's been so close up here lately, I could've done with an air conditioner. I'm just glad things are cooling off a bit now.
