I have just had the dealer on the phone trying to sell me their service plan and I was not sure if it was a good deal or not. Basically they would be charging £28 per month which would come out at £336 per year.

Does this seem a bit expensive for an annual service, or is it about right?

I wouldn't but many do. Shop about for your services. 1st service for me was £220. Second quoted was £280-£290 so sounds like your getting a bad deal.

I have a plan and I am paying £24 a month based on 15k miles a year and full service as per the book over 32 months - so £768 all in. Based on grumps prices I don't think my plan is to far out as service 1 and 3 are about the same. What you need to consider is the price is fixed by vauxhall and then dealers have the ability to adjust to be competitive. I believe the max discount is 24% which is what I was given after playing dealers off against each other. Also worth considering price is fixed and will not go up if parts, consumables and labour increases.

I guess at the end of the each to their own.....
