I have been busy looking for a car for my daughter and cant believe how many used Antaras there are for sale. Plenty 18 month - 2 year old models. Plenty bargains but not so good if your thinking of selling your Antara looking at the prices they are selling them at your not going to get offered much as a trade in.

Most main dealers i have visited have at least 5-6 Antaras for sale.

Must be being north of the border (which I've anecdotedly noted about 80 - 90% on this forum seem to be from).

Hardly see any [SH] Antara's down here. Not sure if that affects the price though.

Didn't see many second hand Antaras when I was looking for mine here in Yorkshire.

I thought at one stage that mine was going to be the only one on the island, but recently I did see one SH for sale, most here seem to have gone for the Captiva but there aren't many of those either.

I bet the insurance will be Cheeper for her as it's out of the norm for first time drivers, instead of the usual small cars, is she going to get WHITE

We have the SUV 's up hear because the weather is crap and our terrane is ruff although we Scots are made of harder stuff, and can deal with it, we also like the practical things like the good SUV or 4x4.

I have seen a lot of Antara's were I stay but very few Captivia's strange

Hi im new to this site, joined mainly as my Antara has developed a fault that Vauxhall don't appear to have seen before. My Antara came from Telford a few years ago now. Because I wanted the auto permanent 4x4 diesel I had to wait just over a year for one to become available this way. Mine wa shipped down from up north where there do seem to be loads. I noticed no shortage from that region when I was looking for one, that was several years ago, mine is now approaching 5yrs old and I love it. I cant fault it, its the SE CDti auto and a treat to drive. The equivalent Captiva at that time was the 7 seater which I didn't want, although a good bit cheaper then to buy than the 5 seater Antara I opted for, everything else is the same, same chassis etc. etc. Why they are cheaper and often lighter kerb weight I don't know, I can only presume that's build quality.

My Antara has been faultless until Easter Sunday when I lost all but the power steering symbol on my display, I have no audible indicator, no lights for anything on the display, no audible seatbelt warning or door/boot open warning, no fuel gauge, no odometer or rev counter. I still have both trips and sat nav plus CD player. Lights all work as do indicators but of course I cant hear them. There was no warning, it was fine one minute and when we got back in it on Easter Sunday there was nothing, lights etc. were all checked and they work outwardly. My dealer has contacted Vauxhall who have no idea, myAntara goes in in a few days time to have a good check up, I am concerned that this sounds very costly, especially as Vauxhall themselves have no idea, they have never heard of this before.

Any ideas????

I had the exact same fault 18 months ago. I just pulled the battery connector off for a minute and put it back on. It has been fine ever since. I hope this helps

Hi Chauffeur,Antara and captiva wheels re fully interchangeable both are basically the same car and the hub offset are the same.
My antara is currently shod with captiva 17inch alloys with winter tyres, will be changing back to the original alloy/tyre set up this weekend.

There's nothing wrong with my hubby's wheels that's why I chose him as I am fussy about my wheels
