Scottish Antara Sales/Leases

Does anyone have any ideas as to why there seems to have been so many sales of the Antara in Scotland ?

Granted it may just be that Scottish Antara owners are more apt to join forums such as this but is that the main reason or is it that there are more Antara sold/leased in Scotland than other parts of the UK number and this is reflected by the number of Scottish members on this site ?

What do you think ?

Interesting observation.
I can think of a few reasons, but not sure how to prove any of them.

Up here in Scotland we may be more inclined to go for AWD cars due to the rugged terrain and winter weather. So in any group of buyers of a particular car, there may be a higher proportion of sales in Scotland.

It might also be there are more people buying through the Motability scheme. After all, it is said we in Scotland are not as healthy as the rest of the UK.

Up until the recent price hike, the Antara was a particularly good deal, both in retail and on Motability. And you know how keen we Scots are on getting a bargain.
The thing is, it's not just the Antara AWD that has good sales. In fact it's the Vauxhall brand that has the good sales all around. Vauxhall actually sell far more cars in Scotland than any other manufacturer - beating Ford into 2nd place by a total of 7000 units.

You Scot's see something attractive in the Marque.

Hi Joe, I can't speak for the rest of Scotland but here in Lanarkshire, unless you stay in the outskirts of Glasgow or in East Kilbride, the selection of different franchises is really poor.

Vauxhall and Ford dealerships are the nearest and most common, so that maybe accounts for their popularity in my area.
