As a follow on from my post within the (now locked) DRL thread with regards to restoring the proper light level sensing auto-on function of the Antara headlights, here I am back at Peter Vardy in Kirkcaldy for attempt No2.
Having requested a VCI for my vehicle to allow the software change to be made, VX responded thus; No VCI is required, the change just needs to be made with the diagnostic system online rather than connected to the car offline. The system will then connect to the VX server and download the update over the air in real-time.
We shall see if it works in about half an hour or so.
As an aside, I have asked for either a copy of the VX bulletin or a printout of all the code changes made to the car, for my own records, so that I might maintain a full note of all servicing carried out on the vehicle (prior to any future sale)... And, of course, so that I might provide fellow forum members with the information too
Time for a second Cappuccino I think....
