Hi I am new to this have just taken my Antara SE Nav 4 x 4 in to a garage to see what they would give me against a brand new Hyundia Santa Fe got a BIG shock was only offered £13,200 I know cars loose value as soon as you drive them away from a garage but I only bought it new in January this year so for it to loose half its value in such a short space of time was quite a blow.Has anyone else experienced this or did I happen to pick the wrong garage !!!!!

They are only offering you the reserve price they would take at auction..I recently saw a 60,000 mile 3 year old at auction for £8,500.... Keep looking for a better deal, certainly in December when car sales slow you may get a better offer
Just done we buy any car and the offer was £17030 my car was registered 09/05/2013 so try them
Try the dealer you bought it from to see what they would do cash for buying it back, you maybe surprised. A family member did this with a Merc and got a fantastic deal.

My last car I did a we buy any car quote and used it with the dealer, they ended up beating it by around 15%.

From experience Hyundai are not so hot on discounts when it comes to the higher end stuff - one dealer even tried the old BMW trick with me, I asked 'what's the best price for cash', response 'doesn't matter to me how you pay for the car, the price is on the screen'. Needless to say I walked straight out!

Wilma I think that is a fantastic quotation, you have me thinking now as I didn't pay much more than that for my antara..... Ummmm what could I buy instead.......
JR, Autotrader have a valuation service on their website for a few pounds which will give an accurate valuation over various vending scenarios.

Yep as do Glass's but I often find these prices are just in an ideal world, something like we but any car is 'almost' real money and provides more scope for serious negotiations with a dealer, especially when you don't have to change, but they want to sell - I never keep a car for more than 18 to 24 months and I always change when I feel I would be stupid not to.
Its worth going to webuy, I was buying an brand new citroen van and part xing my other van deal was all set but decided to see if I could get a better deal from webuy I got just under £1K more plus the tax disk back whick had 10mth on took me about 2hrs to sort money was in the bank within 48hrs or you can pay a few quid to be instantly paid, as long as your honest snd realistic on the condition you will get the quoted price I did on this sale and a vectra I sold good service all round. The citroen dealer didnt belive it until I changed my deposit by £1200!

I don't know if I should tell you as I was informed from a fellow forum member that anything I say is insignificant and not worth while

How does it work? Do you get a price subject to inspection, or what? Do you get a cheque for your car? It seems too good to be true! By the way, Wilma I've been meaning to ask, is your avatar a true likeness ?

Hi Wilma, I am not taking the p---. I think you deserve an award for so many posts!
My search engine came up with we buyanycar.com.scam. One lady said that they should wear striped jerseys. Many said don't go near.
Anyhow it is academic for me as I shall be keeping Antie for a not inconsiderable time.
Like the new avatar - a def. improvement!

You had better said that as that's my lovely daughter and her dog ,
I have never had any problems with the said company they must have been selling old bangers what I was quoted by the company is what I got and they were very polite and courteous, unlike some forum members, the trade in price I was offered for my Peugeot, pathfinder, and Corsa were terrible.

Just tried my 12 plate senav auto on we buy £15,360, not bad saying I only paid 23000 from new lolEdited by: Pondpaul
They are better than trading in as you have the cash to do what you want , and not relying on finance from those sharks
That's a good price for a 2012 plate plus if you do it just before the next change over you will get more money I think
