No problems mine as been running the same as before the recall, I have not noticed any improvements in mine just the samedavidb said:Having duly put my antara in the hands of the dealers for the recall regarding the cooling system and "upgrade?", and having my doupts ref the upgrade, as the motor was running perfectly, my fears were proven, there has been a problem since the dealership got ther hands on my motor. Since the upgrade the power output has deminished and has nearly caused a few accidents, the daler has said that the "EGR valve" has sooted up and therefore not working properly, booked in for a repair and replacement, I think for a 8 month old motor it shocking. Has anyone else had this problem ????.![]()
It's a shame that so few people are having problems with their cars, perhaps a pig in the poke as they say, you do get them.Rd57chad said:Yes mine has had a new EGR valve although it did make it to 2 years old and a mighty mileage of 20,000 !? They accused me of short distance driving err no not really 14miles a day on the M60 outside of rush hour and 100mile round trip to Hoylake every other weekend (not using 6th gear - as advised by dealer) , I wouldn't call that town driving would you ? To top it all they replaced the EGR valve said it would fix the regen cycle issues I have had . I had reset the trip meter after the last regen 300 miles it did ,no attempt to background regen and the light is on yet again taking an additional 20 miles on my trip home before it would clear . This is a joke of a system , I would like to part exchange the car before the warranty runs out but fear I would loose a fortune on it . That said if I hang on to it , it could cost me a fortune to fix it outside of warranty . It's a crying shame if it wasn't for the poor design of the emmisions system it would be a good vehicle.
