Hi All

Great little forum....

I am Russ and just picked up a 2007 plate CDti SE, a couple of questions I have.

On the way back down the M5 today I pulled into a service station to take a call, when I pulled out to re join the motorway my fuel gauge dropped from 3/4 full to zero and the petrol symbol flashed, then the BC read 230 miles of fuel and that to started to drop very quickly? I pulled off at the next junction and as I got to the top of the slip road the petrol gauge returned to normal !!! any ideas guys ?

Also my sat nav looks like it is stuck in London ? can these be reset as it will not re route ?

Other than that a lovely drive but a couple of points to answerto ease my mind would be great...

Regards

Russ

Hi welcome to the forum

Might be a faulty gauge, if so will need replacing. I would fill it up first and see how you get on carry a spare gallon of fuel with you, just in case you run out, they do drink fuel like its going out of fashion.
Has for your sat nav.If its the same asmine I have toselect england first every time I use itbeforeI can enter town and street it do's not do post codes

Mine does post codes and it might be a faulty gauge the fuel consumption is not bad for the size of car it's better when you drive on the motorway.

yes Wilma I agree with you on the size of the motor but yours is a 2.2 ours are the 2lt and they are not as good. I can get around 34miles to the gallon if I drive it with a very light right foot.
As for the sat nav you've got got the new model again ours are the older type can't afford a new posh model (LOL)
