I'm sure you'll love the car, they're great!! Had mine two months & we love it, had a small issue with the DPF (which I'm hoping was just a blip) but apart from that it's been faultless.

Just got to organise a towbar fitting before a week away in September with the caravan.

Just got to organise a towbar fitting

Vauxhall, as far as I know, sub-contract this - and add their own percentage on ( about 30% ).
The guy who fitted mine explained that to maintain the warranty he had to fit a separate loom.
I assume that this is correct ..... it seems to make sense.


I suggest that you check with whoever is fitting it - if you are not using VX.

Hi Dave,Good luck with the first tow, I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised at the Antara's performance.
Make sure they connect all the pins in the towing socket otherwise the fridge/battery charging does not function. Mine was fitted by the dealer and they had to send it to a specialist eventually top complete the job as the vx loom does not include this.

Yep, been informed about possible problems, fitter Iuse has fitted towbars to my last four cars, 2 Omegas, Vectra, and a Insignia so he should be OK.

I am still doing that after a year!

When I left the car at Porto airport for two weeks earlier this summer I was on edge all the time until I got back and found not a scratcj on the motor. What a relief!
