I was taking a stroll around the garden this evening and came across an unexpected site. I found some mushrooms growing out of a pile of wood chips left over from when I had some trees felled earlier in the year.

This seems very unusual to me as you don't normally see mushrooms growing in the middle of a summer heatwave. Where I live mushrooms are more normal in the autumn.

Very strange.

They are magic mushrooms don't eat them though unless you give them to someone you don't like I would lol
We went a walk with Wolfe on holiday in Whitby through some woods and seen massive mushrooms on a tree could have used them as an umbrella no joke.
Good photo inch
Guess what I forgot to do on holiday
Yip you guessed it put the memory card back into the camera, I was flavour of the month lol

Wilma, what you probably saw were oyster mushrooms. If they were, then they are really tasty and very edible

They are very popular on the continent and can be bought in just about any food shop here in Sweden (I am at home on holiday).

This is 12 hours later and my babies are all grown up.

While we're on the subject of mushrooms, here's another shot I took in my garden a while ago. I like photographing mushrooms, but not that keen on eating them.
