sure i mentioned this somewhere but my antara 2012 4x4 exclusive has now been back to dealers 8 -9 times

1. knocking on front corner (sounds like wheel gonna fall off) its had a new shocker, a new anti roll bar and link and then yesterday had a new bottom arm complete and guess what still knocking anddealers are really scratching there heads dont know what it is.

2. dpf regens every approx 120 miles doesnt matter if driven hard on mway or round town nevre used to was always 350 - 500 miles and dealers say its regening so doing its job they say theres no updates etc so basically cant fix that either.

3. there a bad vibration on engine when get to 3000rpm or above and let off gass and guess what they cant fix that either.

4. alarm keeps going off as i lock it.

this and orther probs have been going on for at least 8 monthes and dealer basically cant fix any of them

all this has been logged at vauxhall as always ringing them and letting them know so now solicitors letter going to vauxhall to demand a replacement or refund as i have now lost faith in this car and the wife wont even drive it looked at trading in but owe more than worth so not really an option so we will see what happens if not see them in court

Is taking it to another dealer an option you have tried.

If my dealer couldn't fix my car I would be going elsewhere. Other than that I guess you have no choice but to go down the road your going which is very disappointing. It shouldn't get to this stage. Shame on you Vauxhall.

Same issue as you with number one on the drivers side suspension, started knocking over every little bump, they too couldn't find the fault and it was only when they full replaced the whole suspension the problem went away.

They still don't know what caused it, me thinks this could be a design fault as it seems to be occurring to other people as well!

And to note the passenger side one has started now as well, not had chance to get it in, it's only a year old with 21k on it!

I know my last VX ( Signum ) had problems with the suspension springs.Over a 1 year period I had to replace all 4.

I became an expert recognising the characteristic "knock" which meant that the heavy spring had broken.
In my case it was always the last coil at the top that went. ( obviously a fault !! ) It was difficult to spot - unless you knew what you were looking for.
I actually found the first broken piece on the drive.

I wonder if this is the case with your problem?

Had the same problem and have had everything replaced on the front suspension , knocking still there . Had a look at it myself and noticed the frontcallipers arerattling . That was the problem all along . Now need to figure out how to stop it ,recon it will be new sliders or maybe just grease they need

Hi again - just some thoughts

3. put steering on full lock and wiggle wheel there bad knocking from under bonnet
This could be a CV joint.

4. wobble on steering wheel at about 50mph
This could be linked to a CV joint or wheels need balancing.

5. the wheel and car shakes when brakes pressed
This could be a warped brake disk

I hate to say this but they are a crap vehicle full stop...

I know the Vauxhall lovers on here will attempt to shoot me down in flames but so be it....

This is my first dabble in what I describe as the cheap end of the market and the end result is my vehicle is cheap and nasty, living proof of you get what you pay for....Looking on the bright side I didn't pay a lot new and certainly didn't get alot so suppose I ought to be happy really.

My association with anything Vauxhall ends in September when I take delivery of a new Volkswagen Touareg

Can't wait !!!!!!!
