Hi just bought carbon black antara se 163 on a 2012 61 plate
Very happy with it so far it's lovely to look at and drives well
Little disappointed with mpg but will prob remap when I can afford the
£300 it costs but upgraded from a Renault megane 1.9dci dynamque that was pretty
Good on fuel however antara has a lot of other things in its favour anyway hello to everyone

Hi and welcome to the forum. Its a big car so mpg not going to be like your Renault. Just continue enjoying the ride !!
Hello and welcome and as off road doc says the mpg are not going to be the same due to weight and engine size but enjoy I do
Welcome to the forum.

Enjoy your Antara and don't be like other owners who get obsessed with the mpg and DPF issues.
Welcome from a fellow yorkshireman.
Love Yorkshire so a very big welcome
Wilma that's strange,i love Scotland.
Thanks for the warm welcome, Totally agree with the bigger car less mpg but
Like I said positives outway negatives ten fold at Min. My mechanic assures me we can more than handle
Any dpf problems, to start I've put a Wynn dpf cleaner additive he recommended
In and had a nice long country drive to clean it out starting from scratch so to speak
And as previously stated planning on a remap ASAP .
Got to say my megane was a belter of a car but I'm over the moon
With the antara ... Again thanks for the warm welcome
Hello and welcome to the club

Hi,

Two weeks ago I bought a new SE NAV 163, white. Well impressed with the car, love driving it so much and have to admit its a bit of a looker! Looking forward to sharing info on the car on the forum. Thinking about using the higher performance fuels V Power or BP Ultimate, heard that they are good for engine and DPF? Interested to see other peoples thoughts on the matter.

Cheers

I use Millers diesel fuel additive once in a blue moon and supermarket fuel.
I spoke to my mechanic who's a friend and never
Ever has put me on wrong path with cars anyway lol
He recommended the wynns dpf cleaner additive
This works by lowering the soot burn off temp to 400deg
Instead of 600 deg ... This enables a good clean out a lot
Easier it cost £9.99 from halfords. he recommended if driven
around town with no long motorway or country road drives then to repeat every 1000 miles
Approx but this is a guesstimate only and may need more frequent blow outs
I've done what he said and ill post again soon to see if its worked
As planned
welcome Shaun.good to see your from my neck of the woods, and hope to see you around
