Today hubby and I went to get some messages and memery stick for our daughter, so I parked in the disabled spot in Airdrie Tesco, he went to Argos I went to Tesco ( all is well ) got our messages, I gave hubby the car key so that he could go ahead to put messages in car, couple min later hubby came back laughing to himself
I wondered what was wrong "he said I put the messages in the car " I said and he said laughing " it was the wrong car a women asked me what I was doing
she said I could leave the messages it's you want lol " it was another White Antara like our but just different a women he said " I nearly died laughing, then the women came into the shop looked at him and laughed, He did say he wanted a new women so be careful what you wish for lol

Twice my daughter went to go into the wrong Antara when I was picking her up.

I tried to get into the wrong car last month. It was a white (same as my Antara) Range Rover evoque. I thought my keyfob battery had run out,as the car would not un-lock!!! . Is my body trying to tell me something?

Done exactly the same myself only it was an old bloke sitting in the front, I opened the back door to put the messages on the back seat and it was clear (normally loads of shopping bags on it) and a crooklok on the floor. I looked at the bloke and apologised, He gave me such a dirty look. I wouldn't have minded but it was a Qashqai.

Just had anotheridea on this matter. Perhaps the all the white cars were originally coloured when they left the factory, but these were the ones on deck on the journey over and the sea washed the paintoff!
Just a thought!
I really ought to go and do something useful but it's cold outside.

Not sure about that theory...my own theory relates to the name itself - antara - and association with the antarctic. Seems to make sense, and more plausible than paint washing off!!

An interesting and very plausible theory Stephen, with one slight flaw that I can see. The penguins in the Antarctic are black and white, so shouldn't the cars be the same. I will however reluctantly admit that it is a better theory than mine so I will go with it until aanother one comes along. Well it's dark outside now so little point in starting anything sotime to open the wine I think, it's hard work this retirement but someone has got to do it.

Good point, I had forgotten about those and after two large glasses of a very nice Merlot I concede defeat and totally accept your nowfaultless theory that the Antara takes it name from the southern most continent.
....... That is unless someone from Vauxhall knows different.

I bought black because it was what the dealer had in stock. It does look a bit imposing though, particularly with side steps.

Just wondered what the paint would be like on all those Jaguars and Landrover on that boat the ran aground in the channel. I think the JCB's will be ok.

Another red drinker :) I'm more a rioja fan, but usually any decent red will do!
