Hello to everyone, new to the forum so just introducing myself before posting.

My name is Del and I live in Surrey(not the posh part lol), used to work as a mechanic and many years ago, a short time forvx for my sins
. A car dealernow but still carry out some mechanical work but not if I can help it!

Hi Del, and welcome, if an Antara is good enough for an ex mechanic that should shut some of the moaners up on here.

Mechanic = Old school fault finder not a plug and play lol. Mind you, mechanics are pretty much redundant now with everything being run and processed by computer. Plug it in tells you the fault and what part needs changing. Modern technology, don't leave home without it

Hi, can't say the Antara has been that bad so far, just under 6k on it and pretty much trouble free. Mpg rubbish but only to be expected on a AWD automatic weighing over 2 ton. After being in and around the motor trade for more years than I care to remember, you will always find someone to moan about some aspect of a vehicle, brand new or 20 years old. You can't get all you want perfectly in one place
