Just thought I'd say 'Hi' and introduce myself. I'm retired and living in Wick, Scotland and need a 4x4 up here. At present it's minus 2.5 degrees and snowing like hell. The reason I got an Antara is because I used to own a kia Sorento that my wife and I took through Europe many times, sometimes towing a two and half ton boat, without any problems at all.So when I saw the Antara and took it for a test drive it was exactly like my old Sorento and I just had to buy it. To date it's been a good car all round and my wife enjoys driving it as well, so it looks like it will be staying with us. I do however have a couple of questions, which I feel sure you guys can answer, oh and a moan as well!
Why did Vauxhall make a 4x4 and not provide it with a spare, or at least a space saver? Complete madness, because the pump and glue is a joke. question 1/. As the Antara shares a lot of body parts with the Sorento are the wheels the same size and fitting as well? My old Sorento had 19" wheels and I'm thinking that if they fit then I could use one as a spare? 2/. Does anyone know where I can get either a spare wheel and tyre (without paying the earth) or a space saver that will fit and go in the boot?
I'd welcome ANY advice on this as everything shuts up here at 9.00 P.M. and if the tyre goes I shall be stranded in the out backs until the following day!
Thanks for all your help.
Ian
