Hi all,

I have had an Antara for 2 months now it's a 2016 with 54000 miles on the clock. After a week of owning it, the car broke down, returned it to the dealer on a back of a lorry. Two new fuel injectors later all is fine. Now I have a warning light (car with spanner in it) the car will rev to about 1400 and pull its self along, put your foot on the break and it will go back to normal lift your foot off the break and it will go back up to 1400 revs. Is this an accelerator peddle sensor issue? I can clear the error however it will come back after a few days.

Also driving on the motorway the little gearbox light with a down arrow plus the car with a spanner came on, driving fine no limp home. Turned it off came back turned the car on it had disappeared, I managed to grab the code before it went which was P2263. Do I just give up and get rid?

Thank you.

Sounds like whoever did the injectors, either didnt connect all the boost pipes back or some crap has blocked one of them. Take it back to them and ask why your getting a boost/turbcharger error on the car. You could try some diesel cleaner in the tank, but most boost errors are caused by some blockage or split pipe, trouble is you wont see the split till its under some pressure.

Prefect, thank you for your help. That's interesting, I will try some diesel cleaner and will contact the dealer (who are just awful) to book it in again, wish me luck :). It's strange as it runs perfectly fine zipping around town, apart from DPF needing a good blowout. It's just when on the motorway, I am guessing that would class as under pressure?

Thanks

Did you find out what the problem was?
No, not yet. We have someone coming sent by the finance company to do a report on it next week as we are rejecting it and the finance company don't want it either so it can go back to the awful dealer we got it from.

An ex Vauxhall mechanic did some work on my other car this week and he kindly had a look over the antara. Checked the turbo which was ok. However, he noticed a sound when you press and release the clutch, told me that would be the duel mass flywheel on its way out. I can not wait to see the back this car.
