Hi all,

I`m from the "Wild" West Midlands. I found my way here via the Vauxhall Owners Network Forum`s. I drive a 62 Plate Antara 2.2 CDTI 184 SE Nav Stop Start 6 Speed Manual UncleTom Cobbley and All, in Metallic Black, with Black interior. Basically, its very Black.
It`s a Motability Scheme Vehicle, and I collected it on the 7thof Jan 2013.Not much toknow about me, I speak my mind, and what you see is what you get !!. Nice to be a member here.

Welcome to the forum Isaac and I am sure that we will all look forward to your forthright views and opinions because that is exactly what any kind of forum needs.

How do you find your black Antara with regards to it showing off any dirt ?

I ask because my previous vehicle was a "sapphire black" Ford Kuga and it was a real pain to keep clean. The paint showed off every little speck of dirt and I was forever washing it just to make sure that it looked clean.

On the other hand, I now have an Antara in Daydream Beige which hides the dirt better than any car I have ever owned and I have had many.

Finally and most importantly, don't mention that place where you came from on here

We tend to refer to it as......"over there!!"

Hi John,
It seems like a few people have made their way across to this new "Antara OnlySite", as I recognize a number of the members names. I won`t mention that place "over there" any more if I can help it !!.

You are right about Black Cars in general, they show up every mark and speck of dirt, but there`s just something about the colour that can make even the most mundane ofMarques look good !!. I`ve always found that Silver tends to hide dirt very well too, but I`m sick to the back teeth of having silver cars. When I ordered my Antara, I "was" going to have one in that dark "Gunmetal" Grey colour, which I thought looked really smart, but when I went to Vauxhall, there was an SE Nav, all in black, with the black interior, and windows etc, right in the middle of the Showroom, and when I saw it, that was that !!. I don`t tend to be so "precious" at my time of life regarding constant cleaning anymore. (Not physically capable anyway !!).I was a nightmare in my younger days, and if I had got a Black or very dark colour car, would be on standby with my bucket, chamois, and hose etc, ready to wash and leatherit if we had so much asa cloudy day !!. Lol.
