Mine was left for a couple of weeks at the beginning of the month, while we were on holiday, fired up first time and no problems at all.
Maybe they should look at the wiring because I have a Clarion fitted and it goes off with the ignition.Wayneg88 said:The garage said they checked the battery and alternator and couldn't find any problems , it's the clarion sat nav stereo I have installed and it's live from the battery so it doesn't go off when I switch off the engine , I did wonder if this could cause the problem. Ill just have to see what happens next time I leave it standing a few weeks.
Wayneg88 said:Hi. has anyone had any issues with the Battery going flat on there Antara after its been sitting for a couple of weeks ?
I work abroad and my Antara had been sitting for a couple of weeks when my girlfriend went to start it and struggled to even get the doors open never mind start it , My last car was an 07 Vectra and I could leave it 5 weeks and it would still start first time every time.
My girlfriend checked nothing had been left on and the stereo was off ( its wired direct to the battery) and nothing was left on.
Its a 2012 Antara 163 2.2 cdti
Thanks in advance
Vauxhall had these units listed as an extra option. So they should have been fitted by the dealer.Wayneg88 said:Thanks for the offer of instructions Grumps but I'm not very electrically minded so I'll suggest it to the garage , I was thinking of taking it to an auto electrician to see if they can fit an adaptor to let me use the steering wheel stereo controls as nothing works just now. I'm assuming the clarion stereo I have was installed after the first owner bought the car.
