Hi all,
Just bought a 2009 Antara 2.0 CDTi 16v S, 70k mileage. Really nice condition on inspection, CV boots replaced recently, and good service history.
According to the dealer, the turbo had been rebuilt by the previous owner who was a mechanic, so I thought "great, it'll go like the clappers".
It did pull well but unfortunately the day after I bought it, the turbo failed and I had to limp 15 miles home in 2nd gear. Now the dealer has agreed to recover the car and have it fixed at his expense (as he should), but I wondered if anyone can give me any advice on the turbo and maintenance of it going forward? I suspect it's a feeder pipe of something that has come loose, but I'm no mechanic, so not qualified to do a DIY at this stage.
Any advice appreciated!
Dave
