Hi there,

I was just wondering if anyone is able to provide me with some advice. I installed the cruise control stalk and had "read" that it is plug an play. However, I only get the CC light on the dash and am unable to set CC. I can only assume it needs programming in. Is anyone in the Northants area that could me out for a beer or 2?

I have a 2007 Antara E 2,0 auto.

Thanks!

If you've got the light then it's working

It will not work unless you drive above 30

Are you sure you're setting it correctly. It's not the most intuitive system there is

Hi, It may be gear specific. ie. I think my CC only works in 5th & 6th gear.
Works in all gears but only above 30 fri a along with Amber light on after getting to required speed press the bottom switch on th stalk marked set - light will turn green cruise now on. You can then adjust speed up and down with +/-
Guys. I have a 2013 Antara Exclusive (Manual). Can I get CC installed on my car? Also, do I get this done at the VX dealer?
Hi, yes you can. There is a VX dealer on ebay. e.mail him your VIN number and he can supply the correct CC. I think my CC was £48 (ish)
Yes u can, bought part off eBay £49, 3 screws, multi plug, job done. Search for antara cruise control, send him reg because there are 2 types!
I emailed VX to check if installing this would invalidate my Lifetime warranty and got a vague answer. I have now asked them to confirm yes or no! This is what they have said so far:

"I have spoken to our Technical Department and they have advised me it is possible for a Vauxhall dealership to fit a stalk to the steering to enable you to have Cruise Control functions, however, as a manufacturer we do not recommend this as it takes your vehicle outside of the manufacturers specification".
Wow, they are still using this line,

"as a manufacturer we do not recommend this as it takes your vehicle outside of the manufacturers specification".

The last time I heard it was two years ago when I was trying to source a spare wheel, I asked vx if I could purchase the 16" steel spare wheel and a suitable tyre to be use as a spare for my SE wheels. The answer was a definite NO for the above reason.

Little changes at vx obviously.
Hi Dave. Yes, amusing. I have gone back to them to ask how it is outside of the manufacturers specification if it is installed to higher spec Antaras from the factory in the first place! awaiting their answer. Will be interesting to see what they have to say.
Guys. Here is the most recent clarification from VX: "If you were to change the specification of your vehicle by adding the stalk on the steering to enable Cruise Control functions this component would not be covered by your Lifetime Warranty. I must also make you aware that if another component was to fail due to this change it would not be covered by warranty either".
Do not be put off by vauxhalls response, if you read the terms of the lifetime warrantee the electronics and wiring loom are not covered anyway, in fact very little is.
