central cup holder

HiI bought my 2008 Antara second hand.

The previous owner had a mobile phone dock put in in place of the cup holders (see below)
I can't seem to find a replacement (unless it is a generic part)
I suppose I will have to get the wiring sorted too
Can anyone help with advice? It isn't life or death - but the cup holder would be handy!

The sockets are just a lash-up for my phone and other stuff I use, by the way.

I am in exactly the same boat as you mate - it is driving me crazy looking for cup holders!!! They are available because I have seen them on ebay.com - for the Saturn Vue but it was the wrong colour AAARRGHHH!!

Frustrating eh?
I'm moving on to Plan B - as soon as I've worked out what that is!
Cheers.

Plan B
Just ordered a couple of cheap vent mounted cup holders (£1.43 each) and I plan to superglue them back to back. Then I will mount them on a plate which in turn will be fixed to the redundantcphone mount - possibly with small self-tappers. A bit gash perhaps but at least it will be functional and hide the ugly phone plate.
I will post a picture if and when it is done.Edited by: Stotty
Look forward to that
Any update on this.Im in the same situation..
Page 21 of the VX Anatara brochure for 2008 Models Edition 2 shows both options. The phone cradle is standard fit on the SE, so if your dealer tries to search for the cup holder against your reg number and you've got an SE, they won't find it. On page 22 the brochure shows that the cup holder is standard fit on the E and S models. So you need to search for one of these. VX showed me that the op number to change it is 1034480. It is a 0.3 hour (20 min) job. The part number is 96871315 cost £39 and is being shipped in from abroad. I will let you know how it goes!

Job done - phone cradle removed and cup holder fitted! All ok. Using Bluetooth for the phone. There is a jack plug socket in the cup holder near to the 12v socket and heated seat switches, but the jack plug socket does not appear to do anything. Pics to follow.

That it was I was hoping for, but the factory fitted stereo (a DVD100 Navi) does not appear to have an Aux in setting.
great info here, I want to get rid of the cradle on my SE too, looked complicated. The 3.5mm jack does work on the DVD 100 as I use it regular :)

Where abouts is your 3.5mm jack socket and how have you got it connected to the DVD 100? I understand that there are connections for aux in at the back of the unit and it may need setting with Tech 2
