Hi .
I have just tried to open the bonnet and the lever comes fully back but nothing. I am a bit concerned as it must be very secure under there to stop theft etc. Is it an electrical switch or a cable?

Its a 2009 model . Any advice please.

My bonnet catch is operated by a cable (2013 model) Try pushing down on the bonnet and get someone to pull the cable. If not you may need to get access from underneath using a broom handle,if that's possible?Maybe a local independent garage may be able to help.

thanks Chrisg
The bodywork is mint but I noticed small dents on the front of the bonnet, possibly made by someone pushing as you say .It was serviced by a main agent in Feb perhaps they just got it open and slammed it shut .

I need someone to give advice now on possible removal of say theGrille or something to gain access to the front mechanism.

thanks .John.

I know many years ago I had to get an old brush handle with a 5" nail from the underside to release the mechanism on my first car,a Ford Cortina mk3. Not easy.
