ARNOLD SHARK STRIKES AGAIN

I've had water leaking into the boot area through the vents on the O/S and N/S. Arnold shark couldn't find where it was coming from. After lots of investigation by myself I've found that It only happens when I use the rear washer. Took it back again and pointed this out. They had the car for another full day and said it was now repaired. (Small hole in washer hose above the brake light). Two days later and it was still leaking so back to the dealer again. This time they had the car for 2 days but have now found the problem. The full headlinig has been removed to reveal a split in the washer hose above passenger front seat.
Now for the good bit. The parts are not available for 10 days as they need to come from Germany so my car would be off the road. They offered me a chevrolet matiz as a courtesy car which I refused. After a bit of discussing I got them to rebuild the car unfixed. I will return the car for a third time once the parts arrive. Not a happy bunny but I need to give them chance to fix it properly. Third time lucky

I take it you will never buy of off Arnold Shark again it's been a long time since I have due to them being crape
Write to Sir Arnold asking why his garage where unable to fix it the first time as they were given plenty opportunity, explain how much this has inconvenienced you in regards to times and money and you want compensation for this due to the incompetence of the garage. I done this with a pergeuot 807 I had purchased as I had went to collect it ( it was a ex demo ) got there and they tried to hid the fact that it had a bloody big scratch along the side panel they parked that side against the wall, they had to re-spray it give me a courtesy car until ready, then I had the car for 3 weeks and then exhaust started to blow I went my nut at them, ended up they replaced a hole system at the garage of my choice and a letter for a free service for the following year and refunded my road tax as well, I will find out the address for you.
Hi wilma. I will deffo take this up with Arnold shark customer care and see what they do about it. I love my antara as most of us do. I just want it fixed properly.

My car is booked in for a week on Tuesday. Hope it's not a coincidence that is April fools day lol. This is their last chance. My car is due it's first service next month. I definitely won't be going there. Thought I was doing the right thing by taking it to my nearest dealership. Will check out their Facebook and Twitter. A nice wee message may be the way to go.

I see your in Falkirk it was not Arnold Clark stirling you went to
Yes went to the Stirling branch. Maybe I should have went to Evans halshaw in Grangemouth. I have always used Honda in Grangemouth for my civic type r and I must say that Honda are always impeccable for servicing and repairs. I have no regrets in buying my antara as it's a great family car. I know the fuel consumption isn't brill but it's much better that 18-22 mpg from my Honda.

They are a terrible dealership if you are not happy take it to Evans Halshaw that is were I got mine, stirling are a bunch of crooks and service is really poor
I think I will contact Evans Halshaw for my service. Like most people I only want value for money and a good job done.

My husband had purchased a Corsa from Arnold Clark Stirling Vauxhall as I had a Nissan patrol at the time cheaper to get in and to work they tried to add this that and the next thing onto the price so anyway waiting on our new Corsa and got the phone call it arrived signed all the documents but all the documents weren't their so had to get them delivered, but there was something very strange with this deal and that was every time we put in the registration number for insurance or due to a couple warranty problems it always came up as an Audi when then contacted DVLA and the car was not registered properly, so we complained only to find that the sales person had been sacked I kid you not had its first service there felt the job was not done right never went back, got a phone call from them last night about sales hubby just put the phone down on them.
Bough my Antara from Arnold Clark two week ago, it keeps misting up so I decided to investigate,I lifted the rear cargo area carpets to only find the whole bay area was sodden, just calledArnold Clarksso we see what happens next.
I think people are confusing Vauxhall with Arnold Clark. Arnold Clark supply cars and service them.Any poor materials or poor build quality is down to VX. I have my Antara serviced at my local Arnold Clark in Stretford Manchester and have no issues (other that long waiting times to speak to the girl on reception).
There are good and bad dealerships. My worst experience was with Evans Halshaw in Altrincham, be warned.
This is where other members write in and say how good EH are

Spoken with Arnold Clark Winsford, the car can go in for investigation at my convenience, they did actually sound concerned,I`ll keep the forum updated.

Materials and build quality may be down to VX, but your legal rights lie with the dealer!

Correct, but they are only as good as their VX parts back up and their own technicians.
The problem is that there are good dealers and not so good ones.but surely if you buy a vehicle from a dealer then you have a contract with em and it is their responsibility to ensure that the vehicle is fit for purpose and i think that misting affects visibility and surely seeing where one is going has to be considered important.
buy HEY!!! what do I know
