We have an Antara Diesel 2231cc 2015 model. Recently power steering went so booked it in with mechanic. He diagnosed broken hydraulic pipe and ordered and replaced this. Got the car back and power steering went again right away. Took it back to mechanic and since then he has been trying to establish fault. He took it to a specialist who is also stumped. He confirmed the pump is fine so not the issue. They can only say that a contaminant must have got in but car is now just undrivable due to no power steering. My issue is did the contaminant get in through open port during repair process or was hydraulic fluid contaminated? Mechanic is washing his hands of it saying he cannot accept liability and contaminant could have got in during our very short drive down to his repair shop. I am now left with a car just over 6 years old which is undrivable. Does anyone have any idea what issue could be or what my next step should be??
