Hi all,

I live in the far north of Scotland near a place called Invergordon. Haven't really need an AWD car up here for the last couple of years as all the bad weather seems to have been down south.

Currently driving a Volvo XC70.

Not strictly an Antara owner - yet. I will be picking up my SE Nav 184 Auto next Tuesday. I've been waiting a long time, so will be keen to get it out on the road for a couple of longish runs just to see what it can do.

Looking forward to a being part of a friendly and helpful forum.

I hope not.

Just a little disappointed the weather is not a bit better at this time of year.

Only 3 days to go now. Every time I go out in my current car at the moment I'm driving like an old lady trying to make sure I don't ding the car or get into an accident. Would really complicate things if my old car got smashed up before I got my Antara.

Did I not read somewhere that if you hand your car back in good condition, you receive some sort of monetary reward.

Is or was that the case ?

Yes, you get a £200 good condition refund.

Don't think I will get one this time, as I had a minor accident last year which resulted in an insurance claim. I seem to remember making a claim would forfeit the good condition bonus.

£200 is not to be sneezed at but it isn't such a large sum that you would be left kicking yourself if you were to lose out.

It's not so much worrying about the £200, it's more to do with how an accident would complicate the handover to the new car. Not sure if they will let you have the new car when the old one is damaged and not repaired at the handover date.

I'm just being paranoid and thinking of all the reasons why I might not get the new car Tuesday morning.

I'd be just as nervous out and about once you pick up your new Antara! Always really paranoid on the way home from the dealers. Welcome to the site btw
