Hi all, recently picked up my 2012 Antara and so far loving it, MPG aside... 👀

Got an issue with the central locking. Occasionally the driver and/or passenger side doors will not lock when key fob is pressed.

I recently had to fix the issue with the rear wiper fluid leaking out through the passenger a pillar but I'm not sure if it's relevant or related.

I've changes the key fob battery but not made a difference. I've never had any issues with central locking on other cars so I'm stuck for ideas.

If anyone's got any ideas or experience with this that'd be a massive help.

Many thanks guys.

If you use the search index there's a slew of threads on here about central locking. I posted a possible fix some time ago about when the central locking system can go out of sync when batteries are changed or disconnected and the way to re-set the system is:

Connect the new or re-charged battery then make sure all doors, bonnet and tailgate are closed. Next get both keys and press the locking button 4 times on each key simultaneously (make sure you do both keys) followed by pressing the unlock button 4 times on each key. You should find all doors will be unlocked then.

It seems that after a flat or disconnected battery the keys and door locks get out of sync, but this seems to sort it. On a very rare occasion it has to be done twice but this normally works first time.

Hi Victor, thanks for the quick reply.

Yes, I used the search function and read through quite a few of the threads but couldn't find one that matched my issues closely. The search function brought me to your informative post about tightening the handbrake which came in very handy when I adjusted mine a few days ago.

Interesting, I only have one key though, will this affect the reset process?

Cheers.
