I'm trying to work out what the spec of my car actually should be. Everywhere I look says I should have things such as Aux in and headlight wash/wipe, yet my car has neither of those. I wonder if the phone cradle maybe uses the aux in on the ice unit, but that wouldn't explain the missing headlight wash/wipe.

Any info anyone can supply on this would be most welcome.

thanks.

Likewise I've not got the headlamp washers, but have got everything else as per the 2008 Models Edition 2 brochure. I have posted here about swapping the phone cradle for a cup holder which may reveal aux connections?http://www.antaraownersclub.com/forum/topic731_post20753.html#20753

Hi guys I have a 2009 se the head light washer comes on a few seconds after you apply the Windscreen washer. Also the head light washer is very high powered and I would assume all se models have this feature.

Is the head light washer fully visible when not in use? On mine it looks like a blanking plate stuck over where they should be.

What looks like blanking plates are the headlight wash. They open to spray then close and as you are sat in the driver seat you don't notice this happen, also the headlight wash only operates when the headlights are switched on.

You are right! I had previously checked this by having someone watch from the front while I operated the screen washers, but I had only operated the washers briefly for a second each time. As mentioned in the post fromWebster, you have to hold the washers on for at least three seconds, with the headlights on,for the headlight washers to work. The blank plate extends outwards a few centimetres and then sprays.
