Hi Fellow antarains, this is my very first brand new car...well..it had 24miles on the clock, enjoying the experence so far! Antara away today getting her new towbar on and getting ready for a fairly epic journey to Italy and croatia towing a large twin wheeled Coachman caravan..4 adults and a baby, let you guys know how we do as in performance and gas!

Welcome and you will love Italy and it's people and the food YumYum, my daughter loves it, Croatia will be interesting ? Hope you enjoy your journey and keep safe, as the driving in Italy can be pretty hectic., they park really close to you almost squashing you and fast very fast lol you will get used to it after a while, All the best.
What model is your Antara? Is it Automatic ?

Hi Troops,
Thank you for the welcome, we have prchased a 4x4 model, and have averaged around the doors at 32mpg, went on journey to glasgow and with cruise control on averaged 35..but interesting to see what we get on holiday with the Antara, as last year with same caravan to Italy and france with our Jeep cherokee 2.5 crd was 27mpg. Looking forward to getting away...food and weather..yahoooo

oh sorry...its a manual..and with thatwe wouldve prefered the auto but with towing, we want to dictate what gear we want to be in!! I must sayi hate 6gears to much work.lol

Well folks, sitting on holiday and found free Wi-Fi so I thought I would tell our tale of woe! and if you look at other topic, you will see that on driving down to Dover to catch ferry our brand new Antara decided to blow its engine up!!!!
