RuthyS Hi, I believe that it depends on alot of differenct circumstances as previously mentioned, I had this on my Vauxhall Ensignia, if the weather was cold when on start stop the engine would start, then stop or if the engine is on stop and I put the air con or something else on it would automatically start I think it has to do with the charge on the battery .........

swinton It depends how long you are stood .as I believe there is a timer on it.it will start it self

Victor I'm almost sure that mine does this as well when starting, as you say it's just a brief flash and I'm not even sure which light it is. Something getting a momentary feed during the start op, there's probably a technical term like Back-EMF or something. I'll need to pay attention nextt ime it happens but I don't think it's anything serious.

Bizarre, not sure it would be linked then.... just flashes for the briefest moment when the stop start switches itself off and engine restart
