    Morning all.
A while ago I reported that both near nearside windows would not work on my 2013 2.2 AWD CDTI 5 door Antara and that it was nothing to do with the child safe feature. To my surprise yesterday I tried to open both again and the rear one opened and still works this morning. However, with the front nearside, when you press the button, you can hear a feint click from inside the door but it does not open. I am a bit baffled by this. Any thoughts on this?
    Cheers, Len.

Morning, re my 2013 2.2 AWD, CDTI 5 door, I can now report that the transfer box has been replaced and the noise from that area have ceased.
I do have another problem which some of you may have an answer for. Weeks ago, both nearside electric windows ceased to function. Vauxhall checked the fuses and the loom, (as much as you can see) then said, to proceed they required 80 per door to strip down and find the problem. I decided to leave it, but I do wonder if it could be something simple, as it seems unrealistic to assume both window motors would stop working at the same time. The problem is not anything to do with the child safety switches.
    Any ideas would be welcome.
    Cheers, len057.

Just an update on my Antara. this goes back to end of July when I had a scuffing noise.
The dealer said it would cost me 107 to find fault. Engineer heard noise checked vehicle all over, said all was well underneath, but he had found a split pin incorrectly positioned. Paid 107. one hundred and fifty yards from dealer original noise still their.

A week later, after advice from the club asked them to check oil level in transfer box. Evidently, a sample was sent to Vauxhall, who agreed that it had small particles of metal in it but would not pay to have oil changed. Dealer wanted to charge me 150. A noise sensor test was carried out on 10th September and they declared that the problem was the transfer box and it needed to be replaced.

A request was sent to Vauxhall in Germany and to date I am still waiting for an answer. Given the car is a 2013 model with 68000 on the clock, never been off road, I feel this should be done under warranty. Will let you know.

    Cheers, len057
