The tow bar was already fitted when I bought the car from vauxhall dealer, as regards dedicated electrics I know the tow bar was fitted by vauxhall for the previous owner when he bought it new, the previous owner is a friend of mine who part exchanged for a new Antara.
£50 for 30mins work that is robbery. It's not hard follow the instructions take it steady you can not go wrong .
If you was any were near me I would do it free of charge .
Swinton that's not what I would charge but as I said if you get a auto electrician to do it then the auto electrician has to come out so that's classed as a call out charge and then do the work for him could be. 15 min job but it's a call out to job.
And as I said âanyone who is confident could do it.â like a friend which would be a freeby just the cost of the plug outlet.
In the real world a professional call out charges start at £50 upwards depending on travel
When I was just working on heating systems back in 90s callout was £90 for the 1st hour and then £50 each hour after that and even at these rates I was overwhelmed with clients calling on me as I did not rip them off and all the work was on recommendation only. The price I gave pdman was only to let him know what he could be looking at paying to have job done by a professional tradesman.
If pdman was local to me I would do it for nothing just because he has a Antara and a member of the forumEdited by: Bigjohnsparky
