Mine does that it is on a timer .it will only hold it on start for so long before it starts its self

Happened to me today, I happened to notice when the engine restarted that very momentarily the coil symbol lit on the dashboard.... is that related?

Bizarre, not sure it would be linked then.... just flashes for the briefest moment when the stop start switches itself off and engine restart

I'm almost sure that mine does this as well when starting, as you say it's just a brief flash and I'm not even sure which light it is. Something getting a momentary feed during the start op, there's probably a technical term like Back-EMF or something. I'll need to pay attention nextt ime it happens but I don't think it's anything serious.

I think it may be the foot break symbol.it is yellow

I have a Mini with stop start it when parked or stopped at traffic lights it regularly starts itself without me doing anything. The mini handbook warns me of this

It depends how long you are stood .as I believe there is a timer on it.it will start it self
