Po2e4 fault ...throttle body

Had the engine mil light come on with po2e4 code for throttle body valve stuck. However the car runs fine no problems starting or on tick over acceleration ok. The emission warning light came on but after a run it cleared but mil light keeps coming on
Any ideas as it is a pig to get out

Did you manage to get this sorted? mine goes back into the garage tomorrow for this and P02eb - which unfortunately seem to be stopping the DPF regen from kicking in.

Hi Guys
I was going through my paperwork today and came across, in my Antara Docs, a receipt from a garage for cleaning of the throttle body, which is bolted to the inlet manifold. I wondered if my cars previous owner had a problem and this was the resolution, might be worth checking. Richy

Its possible - have to say the garage did say that these had a common fault with the throttle body needing cleaning. Mine looks to be down to a dodgy valve of some sort on the inlet manifold (dont know full details yet) Once I know I will update - hopefully be hearing back from them today / tomorrow to say its done

Do we have any sticky post anywhere to log these in once we know what resolved them?

Righty - update from the garage... they have gone to replace the inlet manifold and are not happy with how the throttle body looks so are wanting to replace that as well - so your receipt for cleaning the throttle body could be onto something

Interesting, I'll keep an eye on my throttle body. My receipt for the cleaning cost about 150 so must be quite extensive. Richy

Had a call from the garage saying that the car is ready to be collected, Throttle body and inlet manifold replaced and DPF regenerated - I will post an update on here later once I have confirmed that the error codes have gone and the car is running well. Hats off to the dealer though, they have kept in constant contact detailing what they are doing etc.

Hopefully all sorted though

Righty, had the car out for a bit last night and drove to work this morning - and all the problems look to be sorted, no emission light and no stored or pending errors

Spoke to the garage and they think that the P02EB was caused by the inlet manifold (something to do with the flaps inside) and the intermittent P02E4 was caused by the throttle body. They couldn't be 100% sure as while it was apart they replaced both.

In some of the other forums I am in we had sticky threads where stuff like this was kept - is there anything like that on here?
