Help needed

Hi guys n gals!

Little help needed, my 2.2 cdti antara is a little sick.

I had low power engine management light come on a few months back, I thought this was low fuel as she was run a little low. Put the fault reader on came back with 2 faults n/a and n/a...not very helpful! So turned all the lights off and shes been fine until now. Same problem apart from when I turn the lights off the regen comes on instead and after a few mins the reduced power and engine management lights come back on.

I can hear air when running and under the bonnet, I'm thinking blown turbo pipe?? (Plenty of power after I turn the lights off)

Any ideas

Thanks in advance

So I assume when you say turned the lights off you have reset the ecu fault with a code reader.
From what I can gather from your description the only fault indication you have is the regen light on the dash and you can hear air under the bonnet when the engine is running.
I don't think its a turbo hose because you would have low power after a reset.
I haven't had this problem, so i'm guessing here but I have heard before that the differential pressure lines each side of the DPF can split. This can put the DPF light on and as connected to the exhaust i guess its possible you could hear some blowing noise. So I would check these first. Looks for splits in the flexible hoses.

The turbo hoses internally are normally coated with oil from the turbo, so look for oil spots on the hoses, this could indicate leak.
I'm just a DIY mechanic guys but that is what I would check first.
