I'm sure it must be possible however I'm not sure why you would want to. You need to consider that these self levelling shock absorbers help support the weight of the car, if you were to change them you would then need to replace the springs themselves. All the part numbers between self levelling springs and normal springs are different.

The self levelling suspension makes a huge difference when towing, why change them ? Richy

Worth a read:

I needed a new rear shock last year. My VX dealer did it using a GM part and I still can't find a big enough bucket for my tears.............

Loads available on Ebay second hand and not that expensive. I know you are only supposed to fit shocks in pairs ideally and preferably new but they are available second hand, I'm not going to get into a debate about whether this is right or wrong, that is for you to decide. The part number stamped on my shocks are 20924216. There is a pair on Ebay for £40. Just a word of warning, some quote that number but they are not actually that part. That number should be stamped on the shock body, check the pictures. Richie

Rear shocks

Hi Ritchy. To put second hand on is probably bad practice. They could go any . time that's why I ask if anyone has put standard shockabbsorbers and Springs on as cars below se model has standard shockabbsorbers before 2012

Garage
Go on the autodoc app. They list loads of non leveling shocks in different makes.
What I would say however is this will probably invalidate your insurance. Might be worth quizzing them first.
