Gearbox/transfer box oils

Hi,
Does anyone know or where I can find what oils are required to use in the gearbox and transfer box as I'd like to renew them, but can't find anything in the owners manual ?

Agreed its difficult to find the spec

I use Fully Synthetic SAE 75w90 75W/90 Gear Oil GL-4 GL-5 in my manual gear box, transfer box and rear axle. Works a treat.

Don't put it in an auto though, it wont be suitable.

Hi with regard to the oil I went onto the Mobil oils uk and Ireland website.
I really am struggling for clarity on how to access the manual 6 speed gearbox filler plug as its under the battery box. To remove this box seems to involve a lot of electrics removal which seems a bit excessive. Are you able to offer any advive please.

I haven't as yet tried to do this , as I've only just found out what oils to use. I believe Richy has done it but he may have used the level plug to fill it if it's easier to get to.
Once I get the car up on stands, I'll have a better idea of what's going on.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Thanks for the response. I can see the filler plug and its down about 10 inches below the floor of the battery box. The battery box really is only a battery support tray. Underneath that there is a support bracket for this tray which seems almost as large as the tray. There is a bracket from the battery tray onto the bottom of the fuse box which seemed complicated to remove I gave up at this point as really don't want to delve into fuse box.
I think that that with the right size allen key on an extension the filler could be removed and a funnel with a pipe attached could be used for the oil. without battery tray removal
If anyone knows the size of the allen key needed it would help. I could not find my set and knowing one is missing I gave up for today.
Maybe with the under tray removed it may be possible to reach and place an allen key in the plug.
Interesting you mentioned a level plug, I would appreciate if you could give me some idea where it is.
