Marty

Hi guys, my turbo seems like its drawing in way more air when I put my foot down, also it sounds like it's drawing air from inside the cabin via vents (louder from the passenger vents) stops when the accelerator is released? Had the motor for a few years with no issue and serviced every year? Its a 62 plate 2.2TD 4x4 nav. Any one came across this issue before I hit the garage? Any insight gratefuly recived. Cheers Marty

Hi Marty
Sounds like a split turbo hose somewhere. The inside of the hose is normally coated in oil, so look for any oil contamination on the outside of the hose and you should be able to find your leak. Richy

Have you noticed a dip in performance, usually with a split pipe you would get a flat spot. had this on my freelander and found a split so big I could stick my finger in it! bit of duct tape sorted me out until I could get the proper replacement pipe back
