Greetings from West of Ireland.

Hey All,

I recently got my hands on a 2008 2.0CDTI Auto 4x4. I operate a garage in west of Ireland and have owned loads of Opels / Vauxhalls as used to be an Opel garage years ago. Have worked on plenty of Antaras through the years but this is the first I've owned. Had an issue with failed injector seal turning engine oil to sludge when I got it. Lots of cleaning & new seals sorted that though. Also gave it a good service & fitted some side steps I had about the place. Some Pics

I am also looking for some advice on removing DPF. I do loads of short journeys and fans are constantly running when I park up & oil level increases. It is looking for oil change after approx 700 miles driving which is a pain. I also occasionally get fault code P1446 intermittently for Precat temp low during regen. Wondering is there a ECU reprog forum members recommend fro DPF & EGR delete. Thinking of fitting Irmscher quad tail pipe I happen to have when removing DPF.

Looking forward to being part of the forum,

James Clarke.

Hi, nice motor. DPF can be mapped out. The DPF will then need physically removing. You need to take advice from the tuning firm you use since it might need to have the EGR mapped out too. Some cars (in general) DPF system works in tandem with EGR.

Not sure what your ruling is over there RE MOT and DPF, however is suspect this could be a very grey area. You might need a friendly tester.
