Question Drumming noise from rear

Hi has anyone got any idea of what this could be. When I get to about 60mph I get a drumming noise if try to accelerate it gets really loud, but if I take my foot off the accelerater it stops. Any ideas would be most welcome

I had a similar noise after having two new rear tyres fitted ay Halfords. I tok it to Kwik Fit who checked and re-did the wheel balance on both wheels as they were way out.
On investigation Halfords admitted they didn't have their own tyre fitters and called agency fitters in when someone buys tyres online. (It's quite probable that a fitter turns up after you've left your car with Halfords, knocks out a tyre change in a few minutes, collects his money and off to the next one without spending a few more minutes in wheel balancing).
To be fair to Halfords, after complaining on their facebook page, they returned me my costs incurred at Kwik fit plus mileage and a £30 voucher and an apology.
So it may be worthwhile in getting your wheel balance checked (approx £7 per wheel). Hope it's of some help.

My guess is its transmission as it stops when you take your foot off the gas.
I have heard drumming noises in the past from the rear diff on a friends car. Could also be gearbox or transfer box, transfer boxes are problematic on these cars. If your sure its coming from the back check your diff oil level, just fill with ep75-90 till it runs out the plug hole. think it takes just under a litre from empty.

Could be tyres though, I have the that problem on my wifes fiesta, but is their all the time on her car. Richy
