Hi all, if youve read my last posts you will know about the problems we've had with our antara, engine went bang, engine got fixed with full rebuild, got car back yesterday lasted a few miles before it was on the back of a green flag truck after spitting out it's clutch hydraulic fluid due to a split or not fitted correctly pipe. Anyway that's a easy fix, problem I have is fuel needle keeps dropping down to zero and saying it has no fuel in when tank gets just below half so I'm guessing it's the pump inside the tank and probably something to do with the float, i know it's accessable by removing rear seat and carpet but wonder if it's easy enough to change or a job for my mechanic? Also when garage were rebuilding the engine the undertray was removed but all cracked and damaged so wasn't refitted. I've been quoted £50 for a replacement for a good one off a breaking car but was wondering whether it's part of the MOT to have engine undertray fitted? Any help appreciated, cheers.

The back seats tilt forward. Access to the retaining
mechanisms is via the spare wheel compartment. The spare wheel / polystyrene
thingy needs to be removed. There are 2 retainers on each seat which need to be
pushed forward to release the seats.See these links also

There's details in one or more of those links I gave in an earlier post. Do you mean you've got the car stripped down and taken all the screws out but can't get the covers to budge?

Yeah, I have the seats out and got to the access covers but can't get them to budge. I don't want to be to brutal with them and end up damaging them.

The access covers are located by a lock ring and tab which you have to release. See this video for more;https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgxPjGC_cBw
