I have had my 2013 (2012 MY) SE Nav 184 auto for a couple of months and am really pleased with it, except for one thing. Shortly after getting the car I noticed a hesitation when accelerating slowly e.g in slow traffic or going up a multi storey ramp. The rev counter needle wobbles and the car 'hesitates'. This only seems to happen sometimes from the point the car is started I.e I start it on one journey and it is fine but not another. If I give it a boot and it picks up fine but as the car is new to me I wondered if anyone else has experienced this.

Maybe an oil change is due? My wife had a Chrysler 3.3 auto and it was exactly like you say. Rubbish for towing, as it was always hunting for a gear when cruising. 4th 3rd 4th 3rd

Thanks Chrisg, I think it had an oil change as part of prep for handover. On the move at higher speeds there are no problems, it is just at low speed roughly up to 25mph. It is also intermittent in that it only happens on some journeys - almost as if it is something that the car 'reads' at start up but which may not happen the next time you start it. I did take it back to the dealer but it didn't do it when we took it out for a test drive - very frustrating.

I would have thought having the oil changed would make any difference.if you are talking about the aft fluid I had a auto sorento never changed it the 4yr I had it .it may need the gearbox adjusting

Contaminated ATF can make a big difference.
I am an avid watcher of "Wheeler Dealers" lol.

That said it is normally on high miler vehicles (100k plus)
