Hi all,

I've had my Antara for a couple of weeks and 3 tanks of diesel and basically it seems to do a Regen roughly once per tank 3 times so far.

How long in time or miles should it go on for? It seems on all occasions it's kept going until I switched off and restarted the car. Each time it's happened has been on a motorway run and I'm not sure how long is normal but it's a pain as it dumps a load of fuel in the process.

The first couple of hundred miles I'm getting 35/36mpg but after the Regen by the end of the tank I'm down to 31ishEdited by: DaveP

Normal would be about every 500miles unless you do lots of short urban runs where it never warms up properly in which case it will be more often. BUT if you interrupt them, it will do them more often.

A full regen, during motorway cruising takes mine about 20 miles, sometimes less.

That's about average for normal driving, you can get +40mpg but only on a good run.

Yeah I'm about 400 miles a week of mixed motorway, A road and town driving. The longest being 28 miles to work and back so it's possible it's just not finished then if it needs 20 miles of a motorway run.

Hi Everyone,Im new to the forum, and currently looking at buying a 2013/2014 Antara in the next few weeks. However, while researching I see coming across this Regen activity - apologies if this is me being thick, but can anyone tell me what it is, why it does it and what the purpose is? Would appear to be an expensive downside if it looses fuel in the process and occurs regularly?
