I would check first before removing your dpf - I am not sure but worth checking, new MoT rules state that if a DPF fitted at manufacture it must be fitted at MoT inspection.I read that somewhere, can't recall where - but do check first.

From February 2014 the inspection of the exhaust system carried out during the MOT test will include a check for the presence of a Diesel Particulate Filter(DPF) . A missing DPF, where one was fitted when the vehicle was built, will result in an MOT failure.
