More problems !!

Hi I'm at my whits end with my 2.0cdti however much I love this car I'm fed up with spending on it.

January we had to have the head done as it was overheating, drive great until the turbo blew in March, had a reconditioned one fitted, then a maf sensor, oil filter etc. Again all good until it lost a whole tank of ultimate fuel as the fuel filter housing split !!!! 3 weeks ago just before we were due to go away we had an injector problem so holiday cancelled and all 4 injectors sent for inspection. 3 were good and we had the other replaced, had the guy round to reprogram the ecu and its running fine apart from at idle when it's lumpy and the diagnostics says excess fuel injector 4 but it's not faulty ???? Really don't want keep spending money and the mechanics never seen this issue before..... Anyone have any ideas please ?

well if it not the injector then the only other thing is the wiring between the ECU and the injector. When I say wiring I mean a bad connection on the wiring or it could be perhaps where the cable is rubbing against something and has worn through. That is if your certain that it isn't the injector. Sorry I can't be more help. You could get your mechanic to try, whilst the engine is running, touching/moving the connectors to see if it makes any difference to the engine, but I must stress this is dangerous and only to be carried out by a competent mechanic person, with no loose clothing and keeping well away from any moving components. You could also try a bottle of injector cleaner from the local supermarket.
