Hello CJ and welcome to the Antara forum. Can't say I've heard anyone posting about the injector seals on the Antara but I'd imagine they'll be fairly conventional seals (alum or copper washers) sometimes difficult to remove. What kind of symptoms were you having?

Hi Victor, was driving along at about 60 when engine warning light came on and into limp mode with a huge black cloud behind .Car sounded like a steam engine, with combustion gases leaking from injector hole.Checked fault codes and had 2 warnings about low fuel pressure,so I checked YouTube videos and most folk said it would be seals.Bought some today(14) and have just changed the seal and it is running fine now.Took me less than an hour and was very straight forward.Cheers for your reply..just for reference the codes were P228C and P0253

Hi.
I've just had the very same thing happen to me.
The wife was driving at about 60mph. Car has never missed a beat til then and total loss of power. Engine sounded like a bag of hammers cloud of smoke and stopped.

It wouldn't start and had to be towed.
Code was P228C.

I've had injectors seals fail before on other vehicles, but the engines still ran, albeit smelly and lumpy.

There are no other codes other than P228C.

It states low fuel pressure when looking up the code.
How can a leaky seal lead to low fuel pressure??

They look easy to do, Ive don't them before on other vehicles - but there are no usual tell-tale signs, I.e. Evidence of diesel around injector tops...

Any help appreciated...

And further to that, when the seals failed it was a progressive failure due to the design.
Never an immediate catastrophic issue as its just a washer that progressively weeps cylinder gasses/fuel...

I didn't have any other codes other than p228c
