Well this week has been busy, motorbike service and MOT Daughters MX-5 service and MOT and wife's Focus service and MOT. The last two were a worry as the MX-5 is 17 years old and the Focus 15... Good news all passed with only advisory on Focus for rear tyres getting low and bike for noisy exhaust.... the video will show thatSome pics of my bike and the MX-5

I think they initially designed them to sound like the MG sports cars. Passing
its MOT at 17 can't be bad, must have better rust protection than the MG's that's
for sure.

That Yamaha's quite a bike Volrider, did a quick Google on
it and see it weighs over 600lbs all fuelled up – that's a lot of weight to
land on your leg if one of your stiletto heels snaps.I was watching the TT Superstock race yesterday and saw
young Hutchinson
win on his BMW. Apparently he'd only had one practice lap but he still put in some 130+
laps during the race. Not only that, I think it was him that had to reboot the
bike's computer during the race! <!--if gte mso 9>

The bike is heavy but the weight is low down so it is not to bad to handle, great in straight lines but if you lean it too much she soon grounds, but as I am a coward I don't lean itThe MX 5 was bought locally its only done 70K miles we have had a few things done to smarten it up, body mopped and chrome bars fitted, the roof was in bad condition and being mohair it would have cost a lot to replace, but three days scrubbing and then using renovo sorted that out, looks like new now. It had a dent in the front wing, local dent man fixed that for a few quid. Managed to knock a fair few hundred off the price due to the faults. All good now and it runs superb similar to my old MGB but no rust !Main thing is to keep the drain holes clear other wise it rots from inside out. Bike just doesnt get the use so I may sell that only done 1600 miles from new. But as I have hit 60 I thinbk if I let it go that would be me finished with bikes.

Honda Goldwing? 4 cylinder, 1200cc liquid cooled, electric start, shaft drive, indicators etc etc. I remember the first one I saw I couldn't believe it had fresh air vents built into the fairing. I thought "What next - power steering?"

Yep and built in 1985 it had air self levelling suspension. Fuel injection. Cruse control. CB radio. Etc
I even tested it against the gl1500 that didn't stand a chance as yes it may have been a 6 cylinder but had no fuel injection and the 1800 which didn't leave it that much on the road Edited by: Bigjohnsparky

A reverse gear? Does that mean you need a car licence to drive it? I'm not kidding here, I reember when three wheeler Reliant cars had reverse gear blanked off so they could be driven with just a motor bike licence.

Nope motorcycle licence as it's taxed as a motorcycle lol
Plus trikes which started life as a motorcycle and converted to a trike you only need a motorcycle licence
The reverse gear is only driven by the starter motor which when used should only be used 20 to 30 seconds as could burn out the starter motor
