Well after 3 yrs the Antara has gone and TBH I am not sad it's gone.

The car itself if properly sorted was fine apart from the poor MPG however that I could of lived with, unfortunately it spent to much time in the garage and although all the repairs were completed on warranty, I don't especially like spending my time in dealership waiting areas sipping coffee!

The worst new car I ever owned I had less bother with new Alfa's and Citroen's than with this, which is a real shame as had V/X been bothered then the Antara could have been so much better, the 4th oil leak and intermittent problem with the emission warning lights illuminating causing the vehicle going into limp home mode was the last straw.

Anyhow I wish you all trouble free motoring.

Hey andrewberry.I had a 62 plate Hyundai Santa Fe before i got my Antara.
Gave it to my Daughter.
Only ever had one problem with it, the clutchh save cylinder failed and i was in South Wales.
My dealer in Bury actually drove down with a car on a trailer, left the car with me and took my Santa Fe back to Bury for repair.
Wonder if my VX dealer would do that???

Hi Scouse Mafia,

Aye lots of Renault influence on Nissan's these days and vis versa.

French diesels have always been good in fact the X trail shares the same engine as several Mercedes, french electrics on the other hand..............

Only time will tell........

hey old guy i wish you well, i have been having problems posting on this site (grumps canny want me ) lol i have contacted him about it no reply, hopefully this will post to you.I wish you well with your new car when you get it, my new car is getting built this month and i understand what you mean about the Antara and poor miles to the gallon, the rust has come back on mine just after 10 months, she seems to be doing more regens, so in a way i am glad to thats shes going. I have tried to post about my daughter passing her test at just 18 ( that was her goal and she done it) and a photo of my new car and the one we want to get Alysha but to no avail. So i am trying again i have added the heated seats and steering wheel due to my hands being painful, Alysha wanted a Vauxhall Adam but dad said no its to low down and not as safe as a higher up small SUV as she wants automatic ( she has back problems) she likes the Nissan or the Jeep Renegade.
Swindog what colours have you picked in and out i am interested you know me
the yellow one would be Alysha

Probably a better car,but for the extra money it should be. I have always said that the Antara is not the best car out there ,but for VFM it does take some beating.
