Antara cut out

Hi I'm new to this forum. I have an antara 61 plate 2ltre TD auto
I love this car and the only problem I've had to date is a rear electric window however last week driving to Yarmouth my antara decided to cut out on me? We had driven around 250 miles without any problems then as I came off a roundabout she just cut out, I pulled over waited then she restarted and seemed ok for the last 50 miles. I am starting the 300 miles home tomorrow and I'm worried I will end up stranded on the side of the road!! I've started it and left it running and no problem although there seems to be a hot rubber smell in the car when the engine gets hot?? Fans are working water levels and oil fine, Can anyone help?? Thanx

No Idea, not had my Antara long and never had a problem like this.
Nor would I expect a manufacturer to program this kind of feature into a car, my only generic though, and it is just a thought, could this be something to do with an immoboliser. Have you checked your key fob batteries ?
